Common Energy was founded in 2007 by a group of students looking to change the campus community at UBC and ultimately bring UBC “beyond climate neutral.” This meant taking the campus beyond the numbers of carbon neutrality and ultimately building a community that incorporates sustainable practices into educational systems, problem solving, and governance.
