Food Choice and Climate Change (FKA Food and Connections) is focused on promoting sustainable food choices on campus and in the wider community, as our diet is by far the largest impact component in our personal ecological footprints and global greenhouse gas emissions. In the past, this team has organized a Sustainable Food Crawl to bring together students to experience Vancouver’s many vegan restaurants. This team has also hosted documentary screenings, debates, and cooking workshops – for example, how to make sustainable food choices on a student budget. This year, the team will be exploring the relationship between diet and climate change.
