Chew on This is an annual week-long series of events, run by our Food and Connections team, focusing on educating, raising awareness, and celebrating food sustainability. Discover a new meaning to the saying “you are what you eat” through lectures and workshops that follow the life cycle of food. Topics have included fish farming, microgreens, animal welfare, entomophagy (eating insects), urban farming, as well as hands-on workshops on things like growing your own herbs. Many events are run in collaboration with other groups on campus, such as Oxfam UBC, the UBC Farm, and Sprouts.
